What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday? #123

It’s dark and dreary here today. I was holding the curtain out of the way with one hand, as I took this desk shot, to try and get every last ray of light through the window!

You can see the same pile of leftovers from last week, with a few new additions. The latest issue of Making, which gets better and better every month. A set of tea towels, that I bought to make some aprons. I couldn’t find the weight of fabric, in the type of designs I wanted, without having to pay silly money, so I hit on these as a solution. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m off to Julia’s for a nose around a few more crafty desks. How about you?

Such pretty fabrics - and a great idea to use tea-towels. I'm sure I remember my Mum using one for us as children years ago, though not as pretty as this...

This'll be interesting - tea towels come in all sorts of sizes! Can't wait to see how they turn out.... Thanks for stopping by.

I've loved those fabric bags since seeing them a few years ago. I keep thinking that I'll make some one of these days. (They are in the photo of the magazine). It's great to hear you 'thinking outside of the box' by buying something readymade for the quality of the fabric so you can make your own thing! *smiles* Norma

Hi Angelfish - Just joined WOYWW and my pic is not of my working desk; oh well, I'll get it next time as I can get messy; you seem to be pretty organized. Your choice of fabric for the apron is a good choice, we creators have to be imaginative, that's what is so inspiring. I'll be making a Halloween apron; nothing fancy, so I'll post it prior to the day -- haven't aprons become popular and they are so cute -- thnking about making some for Christmas presents they are so easy and fun to sew -- and fast!
