What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday #178

It’s pouring with rain and blowing a gale, but the kitchen window is wide open so we don’t choke to death on fixative fumes! I’m sure it used to smell of pear drops. The table has been taken over by my son, while he works on some pieces for his GCSE sketchbook.

They seemed appropriate for this Halloween desk sharing and it seemed only fair that I should show you something of his after sharing one of my daughter’s creations on Monday. Old fashioned paper and pencil for him rather than a fancy graphics tablet.

You may notice that my fruit bowl is missing. I thought it sensible to remove it while we sprayed noxious chemicals around the place!

Happy Halloween to you all.

P.S. See yesterday’s post, if you might be interested in learning, along with me, how to make a patchwork block using the English paper piecing method.

I’m sat reading my WOYWW blogs on my sick bed this week but have my mask on so you don’t catch anything. I’m enjoying reading what everyone is up to this week [it's better than reading magazines :-) ]. I’m leaving a copied comment so you know I’ve called by because my hands are too weak and shaky to keep typing out my comments this week.
Big hugs,

Wow, that's amazing!

We often have to have windows open so the fumes from painting Warhammer figures can dissipate...

Wow! That is so cool. There is nothing like paper and pencil! No way, no technology can ever really compete.

About the pears... smart move! That would be something I would think of too late.

You have a very talented son. Obviously following you. We do use some dangerous chemicals in our crafting, don't we. I read on the tin of charcoal that it must be used in a well ventilated room, and not to put your finger into your mouth. Slightly over the top, I feel. Hope your son's work goes well. xx Maggie #42
