What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday? #239

It’s almost midnight. I’m watching a firework display on the TV, while listening to them being set off outside. Big Ben is chiming the last few seconds of 2013 and a brand new year is nearly here.

P1030302

There hasn’t been very much crafting going on in the last week. I did make these little gifts for my nieces and nephews, to give out at a family gathering yesterday.

P1030303-001

There was a boy’s version too. As you can see they are a little outnumbered! I found it interesting to see who tore off the end, to get to the contents (Lindt chocolate teddy bears and Santas, in case you’re interested) and who carefully untied the ribbon and tipped it out.

I’m joining in with Julia and the gang for this New Year edition of WOYWW?

Thank you to everyone who has visited and commented during this last year. Looking forward to your company in 2014, whatever it may bring. Happy New Year!

They're all very pretty, Fi! I did some handmade bon-bons too - nothing so fancy, just from a couple of kits - and put a scratch-it inside for all the family. Hope your 2014 is wonderful - I watched the fireworks display in Sydney; once the countdown was finished, I went straight to bed! x

Gorgeous crackers! I'd be untying carefully so that I could save the ribbon etc for crafting recycling, lol!!
I hope we meet up too, how's about a play date in Salisbury again!?
May 2014 be full of love, laughter and crafting lunacy!

Your Candy boxes look great, I've only just received my cutter so I'll be doing something similar next Christmas.

Happy New Year Fiona! Lovely cracjkers, you know that every one of us would have been carefully untying and opening in order to keep as much of the packaging intact as possible. We're all just like kids- far more interested in the wrapping than the gift, usually! Have a great Wednesday, Hugs, Shaz #32 xx

Oh those bon bons looks so good, pitty they had to be torn apart to get to the goodies. I must give it a go this year making my own.

Aren't those just so cute?? I have never been able to do the whole production-line thing. I get bored and careless, so I envy those who have the sticktoitivness to do many of one thing. Lovely.

Happy New Year WOYWW!

A Very happy New Year to you and the family! I hope 2014 sees you creating lots more lovely projects like this for us all to enjoy.

Just for the record, I'd be in the carefully untie the ribbon camp :)

Happy new year Fiona! I swear that next to crafting, unwrapping gifts is the biggest betrayer of personality! What a nice way to offer a treat, bet the kids loved it.

Beautiful gift boxes Fi, I like all your 3d makes that you've posted recently in the run up to Christmas. There's definitely a whole new yarn world out there compared to what my mum used to be able to buy in the 70's. Happy New year to you all.

They are fab! I love that colourful paper too. I would have been the one untying the ribbons, in fact the ribbons on my desk this week came from our Christmas crackers!
