Me on Monday ~ The Spin Cycle edition

The weekend began with a 200 mile round trip, to bring my boy home for Reading Week. He worked hard to get his first big assignment finished, ready to submit by noon today, while I worked my way through his washing. It was a weekend of waiting for the spin cycle to finish and watching the rugby, all together in one place.

This afternoon found me kicking through the leaves, fresh from the chiropractor's manipulations. I decided that a monthly maintenance session will be better than waiting until I need a full service. I'm also on the hunt for a local pilates class. I loved the one I went to previously, but our teacher emigrated to Canada. How very inconsiderate of him.

Waving to Sian and wishing you all a great week ahead.

I agree monthly maintenance with the chiropractor is better than an all out repair session (col). Sounds like your son is starting to find a rhythm to his school schedule & being away from home which includes bringing home the laundry. It's fun to kick leaves ... hope you have a lovely week ahead.

Since I took up Pilates, I have become evangelical about it. It genuinely does make me feel better: so much so that I now go to two classes a week. So seriously, do keep looking for a class and give it a try.

How nice to be able to look after your boy for a week. It's going to be a good one, then..

I seem to have avoided back problems (unlike my OH and most of my family) so I do hope your regular sessions help keep this in check. Hope your boy is feeling more settled at Uni now and it is good to here that he got his work finished on time. Have a lovely week x

OH yes I love Pilates too! I do a class once a week - on a Wednesday morning. Hope you get to have some fun this week with your son!

I bet you are pleased to have your boy home for a week washing and all! I am a great fan of Pilates and definitely feel better for it. I hope you find a class to suit you. We do indeed have a two week half term as you mentioned. Too long I think! It means they break up far closer to Christmas and at the moment when she trying to finalise her UCCA application it has rather held it up. Have a good week!

I need to get back to Pilates as well. I usually do it at home, I have a couple of great videos I used to rotate through.

Taking good 'maintenance' care of yourself sounds nurturing, and I hope you find a Pilates class you like - I think there are a lot of good DVDs out there also for those who want to or need to work from home. How nice to have your young man home! and glad he is finding his feet. Wishing you a good mid-week!

It sounds like he's doing well. Ah yes the baring home the laundry bit! I haven't taken Pilates in quite a while I really should get back to it. Hope you've had a great week.
