The answer to that question is nothing. Not this week. The kitchen table isn’t required for hooky pursuits, they can be managed in your lap on the sofa. Perfect.
Now that I can crochet….well….I can do this and this….
….I got it into my head that I could make a blanket. In a fit of madness I ordered this….
….to make this Cosy Blanket. Crazy? That’s me!
What have you been up to this week? I’ll be round to see later. All the other deskers taking part can be found hanging out at Julia’s place.
PS There’s still plenty of time to join in with SIPIDI! if you want to. Just leave a comment here or on the other post so I know where to find yours.

Hoping to work on my SIPIDI this weekend if I can get most of my orders dealt with by then.
Lovely wool and I look forward to seeing the blanket and how you get on with it - I am resisting the temptation to learn, I wonder if my hands could cope with crochet better than they do with knitting??? But I keep seeing pictures of beautiful cosy blankets and I want one LOL!!

Isn't it THE most addictive past time? And that Stylecraft is great value..as hobbies go, this one is one of my cheaper attempts lol. I'm still doing Granny squares for my Cath cowboy blanket but after that the cosy blanket is calling me too
Ah,you've been splurging on the Wool Warehouse site...that's fatal, that is!! Lovely combination of colours, that blanket will be gorgeous :-)
Hugs, LLJ 32 xx
Gorgeous colours for your blanket! I've got the wool to do her coast blanket - for a new baby in the family due next January. It's supposed to be a boy:)
Good luck with the blanket...I'm sure you will make it.
Hugs,

That is going to be a huge project for sure. But at least you can be cozy while you are making it. Thanks for the peek this week. #78
Crochet - still not mastered it! A cosy blanket sounds like a good idea! Have fun! Chrisx50
Just couldn't get my head round crochet when I tried at my old craft club that folded - so well done and the best of luck!! Helen 3
you go girl!!! I'm lefthanded and had to teach myself as well and now there's no stopping me. I have only made blankets and little dresses but a few flowers have crept in this year ..... oh! and a crown!!!
The important thing is to enjoy.

I can't wait to see how you get on
Hi there and nice to meet you. I am new and getting acquainted with people and process. I appreciate your sharing.

Your crocheting looks great, especially for someone who just learned. Good luck with the blanket.
Looks like a very cozy blankie is in the making. Love the colors, too. April #68
P.S. And we're all a little crazy. lol
I love the yarn for your blanket. Beautiful colour combination.
I haven't crocheted for years! I used to do the really fine stuff and make brder round all my tea towels (crazy I know, but I lived in Italy at the time and it was fashionable there in those days)
Have a good week,
Sorry I’m late but I take my time going through them all. (I enjoy reading all the blogs and look at the photos)

Hi Fiona, I love the colours you've chosen for your blanket, they're beautiful. I keep intending to join the SIPIDI, one of these weeks I will get around to it. Running ridiculously late this week, had a 10.00 appt at the hospital on Thursday, so had to sleep before and after so we could go to work, then was still catching up on Friday. Only 6 more treatments left, will be so glad to get to the end, all the travelling has made it hard. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #20
I agree, the colours you have chosen are so gorgeous!
You are doing so well with your crochet, I can't wait to see your blanket x
Crafting on the sofa sounds just the thing for the winter! Looking forward to seeing this grow ...
