What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #407

Ah Wednesday, you've become my touchstone again this month. Nothing happening at the table. My boy has a week off work and never stops eating it would seem.

One of those ladies from last week found her way onto a couple of cards for class. Techniques are paper piecing.....

.....and using embossing folders.....

.....as background stamps. There's always something new to try.

Linking up with Julia and the Deskers this morning. Happy Wednesday.

Very stylish! A son with hollow legs? My daughter who works on the farm carries out regular food raids!

Very stylish indeed and I especially like the backdrop of your photo with all those colourful books. My son hasn't reached that age yet when he devours everything, but I remember someone warned me that they can eat a whole box of cereal just for breakfast LOL! If that's the case, I'm glad I only have the one, LOL! Thanks for visiting Fiona! Enjoy your week! zsuzsa #22

I have three boys, all with hollow legs, although you'd never know it to look at them. I like the stylized way that you coloured the image in the second card. Sarah #26

I remember all too well what it's like to feed a young man....we shop on a Friday night usually and by Monday the cupboards were bare. Thanks for you lovely comment today. I pass all my makes in front of my little inspectors and they love the matchbox buddies too.

Stylish is definitely the right descriptor for these cards! I love paper piecing, but often forget about it when I'm creating a card.

Hi Fiona. Great ladies - very elegant!! Hope the classes enjoy their technique learning. Having only had daughters, I hoped I wouldn't get to know about the hollow legs... false hope. They suddenly learned what food was for when they achieved the grand old age of 4!!! Didn't stop until they left home...
Thanks for the visit and the compliments on my scrap paper!!! Yes, I'll show some bags when they are done. We place a Bible in each one as the children in the schools we support get to Primary 4 level. They are thrilled to own such wonderful items!
Take care. God bless.

Very nice cards & I like your stylist lady - she certainly could be a feature on a series of different themed cards. I am seeing lots of embossed cards/papers & now I want to know more.

Beautifully elegant, both of them - the background on the orange one is gorgeous. That's a great stamp set and I'm loving what you are doing with it. Hope you have a great week,

Very stylish cards! My son who moved out seems to have hollow legs when he comes home. Either that or he really misses my cooking lol

Yeah - what is it with hungry males that will eat raw chicken from hunger whilst you are cooking them a meal? Hope you get him filled up so you can get back to making more of those lovely cards, Happy Wednesday Dx @43

Beautiful ladies on your cards, Fiona. I have a daughter with hollow legs. How come they can eat what like they like and stay so slim and I sniff a crisp and go up a stone!!
Have a good week.

Lovely!

Yes: it's easy to see who is home here by looking at the state of the fridge.
