One Photo & Twenty Words

I took this snap with my phone just now, to document my prom dress progress and thought it would be ideal for Abi’s simple monthly exercise. Choose a picture and tell its story in twenty words or less.

The decision has been made. Sometimes you need to ignore the pattern envelope photo and look at the line drawing.

PS If you are wondering, my girl’s choice is Simplicity 1606, view B, which can be seen in the previous post.

That pattern brings back memories of creating bridesmaid dresses. So excited to see how the prom dress comes out! And so happy to realize I don't miss that kind of sewing at all...

I love the look of patterns and she's picked a good one :)

I can't wait to see it! I often ignore the envelope. I had done two simplicity patterns now and have deduced that they are not designed for my shape! The bust is always fine but they taper to the waist quite quickly so I always have to ease some room around the side seams!

That looks incredibly complex ... I think I'd be saying it the other way round! You have my admiration :).

All those lines are enough to scare me off - good luck with this special dress.
