What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #308

In the blink of an eye, it’s Wednesday again. Yesterday afternoon saw me assembling fabrics and choosing zips to match (ish) from my stash.

Two pencil cases cut and interfaced ready to sew. Still deciding on pattern placement for the other two. I need to get over my fear of zips and this seems like a good way to do it. I’ve replaced my old zipper foot and the new one is definitely better. Any poor quality sewing can only be put down to user error now!

For those readers not interested in my sewing adventures, here’s a recent make of the paper crafting variety. It’s that Sheltering Tree set again. This time I used the blossom/leaf stamp and created a background for the message. Very quick to do.

Are you sharing your work space today? I’ll be round to see you soon.

Love that house fabric. Seems houses and mugs are beginning to be a thing for me! And good for you, I shy away from zips..mind you, I haven't done any sewing for a good few months. I should make time...you're leading me on!

Love that card - do you see I'm ignoring the stitching? I know that it is not a gentle reminder to either put my machine away or do the stitching!!!!
Have a good week

Wow, love your fabrics and brightly coloured zips! Even though I've done quite a few zipped totes now, the fear is always there, lurking under the surface :-) And just exactly WHAT is an invisible zip anyway??! Those pencil cases are going to be just fab.
Oh, and pretty pretty please - are you still ok to make lemon drizzle cake for the Crop again? Only this time, I think you may have to make double the amount - it seemed to vanish into thin air last year, LOL! Please keep a tally of what it costs though.....
Hugs, LLJ 19 xx
PS You're right, we do need a fabric shop meet up soon :-)

Zips & sewing scare me. Good luck with the pencil cases.
I'm finding the smaller project life albums easy to use. I do still make lo's for the 12x12 albums as well.

Hi Fiona, with you on 'zip fear' lol. Whenever I used to sew, it was the bit that terrified me, I could never get it even. Lovely idea for the card too. See you in a couple of weeks, Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #12 xxx
