What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday #259

It’s the kitchen table again, but you guessed that, didn’t you?

P1030473

Kitting for class tomorrow. It’s a regular Tuesday afternoon thing around here. Two of my ladies are keen for a Triple Stamping refresher. I love the technique, but I have to admit it’s not a favourite of mine for classes. All those layers of white cardstock and corresponding coloured mats can be a little tedious to cut for several people at once.

P1030474

It gives a good end result and I wouldn’t expect everyone to cut their own. They don’t come to class to learn how to use a trimmer, do they? I killed two birds with one stone as I’d also had a request for some male cards. I think this fits the bill.

It’s the WOYWW anniversary crop this weekend and I’m so excited to see everyone again. In the meantime I have ATCs to finish and cakes to bake. If you’re coming along and want to swap let me know and I’ll try to make sure I have enough. Cards, not cakes, that is!

P1030465

If you fancy a go at making a flower like this one, I’ll have some supplies with me and would be happy to show you how. A great way to use up all those card scraps.

It’s over to Julia’s place for more desk based shenanigans. See you there.

I have a friend who tried to make one of those triple cards. I don't think she knew what she was doing. At least, the ones she made didn't look like yours. I'm super impressed. And I hope you have fun at the crop. I hope to see photos.

While I was leaving the above paragraph, Julia came online. So looks like I'm #2 this week, but I appreciate the early visit.

You are a very thoughtful teacher! And that flower is very pretty - I thought at first it was fabric. If there's ever the chance of an online tutorial ... :)

Wish I could be at the crop but a tad to far to swim. You're an angel helping LLJ with the catering, thank you for helping her and Julia. I have not tried that card, I think I would flunk at it. Yours looks fantastic and you are such a thoughtful person cutting/trimming.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

Oh Fi, couldnt agree with you more - I once spent an hour and half of a two hour workshop cutting up my cardstock for a star book. Cheated is how I felt, to be honest. Love the card you've made, as you say, perfect for a bloke..lots of straight lines and alignment and yet some art too.

Yes, all that cutting prep for the class does sound tedious. Hope everyone has a good time.

I'm totally jealous that you all get to get together for a Woyww crop! I'm sure it will so much fun.

Your Lemony Snicket books backdrop always makes me smile, btw. :-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.

Happy Woyww,

I just love that card, Fiona, and after looking closely at your top photo I realized that the paint splatters are actually done with a stamp. SO cool!

Love the pretty flower on the box top as well! xo
