Remember those little pinwheels I was putting together on Tuesday afternoon? Here’s one of them added to a very simple card.
I was planning to die cut a circle to go behind the pinwheel, but I happened to have my pricking mat and tool out so I used a template to define the circles instead. I think it’s quite effective. I cut the two navy blue banners using a die, but it wasn’t quite big enough to fit the sentiment. I stamped and then cut to size on the trimmer. Finishing the end with the corner of a square punch. I find it neater than cutting into the middle with scissors. I always seem to go a bit too far on one side!

I love the simplicity of this card....though I imagine it still took quite awhile to make!
A beautiful card and love the colours. Makes me think of the seaside and making sand castles with a windmill on the top. Tip I learnt was on the reverse of your tail card to draw a line across where you want the V cut to finish and then divide this line in half and cut from the corner to this line on each side. You will get a perfect V shape every time. hugs Mrs A.
Ooh I love your card. The simplicity is perfect x
This turned out even better than I imagined! Love the circles and of course the pinwheel.
I still think the die is a genius idea. If I buy a machine, you could be entirely responsible for putting me on the road to ruin :)
Fab card Fiona - I have yet to use the die on a card but I feel the need to right now LOL!!
Such a great card, Fiona and thanks for sharing that brill tip about using a square punch too!! I always end up with irregular banner ends and yup! that die is a definite must too!
