Sewing has been on the back burner this week. The children didn’t go back to school until yesterday and I had a class, this morning, to prepare for.
This was the state of play on Tuesday evening. Nothing like leaving it until the last minute. We made a set of any occasion cards and a folder to keep them in. I had three lovely new ladies come along today, all of them complete beginners at stamping and only one of them had done any card making previously. The classes are always fun to teach, but there is something extra special about showing folk the techniques for the first time.

I am doing that with my BF ATM showing her techniques she has never crafted before and I am loving the look on her face when we do crazy stuff in the journal.

That made me laugh...I'm the world's worst for leaving things until the last minute!! They were none the wiser and obviously enjoyed themselves!

That looks fun! I teach a papercrafts class on Wednesday lunchtimes, and have fallen into the bad habit of preparing for it on Wednesday mornings.... One day I'll be caught out when I realise I don't have enough of something and no time to get it!
I love the fancy edges! A set of cards with a folder to keep them in sounds so lovely - I'd have liked to join in!
I remember the first time I saw "stamping" - we had a shop in our high street where there was a whole room of stamps & stamping equipment upstairs. The ladies who owned the shop were giving a demo of stamping techniques - I don't think I had ever seen such fabulous hand-made cards; I was blown away. Of course, I had to try it for myself!
Could we see the finished results of those class preparations? (pretty please?)
