Back to the kitchen table this week.
I’m cutting more pink strips for hexies. I started with this colour for the centre of the flower and then used the small floral print as the ‘petals’. The green stripe around that and now I need another round of the pink. You can see the other fabrics here.
I have a feeling that stitching these is going to be addictive. It’s the ideal thing to keep my hands busy, while I watch TV in the evening, or sit next to my husband while he snores in front of it!
Head on over to Julia’s place to see who else is taking part today.

I followed your links to the quilting sites - wow, there's so much talent out there.... *sigh* It could make me feel quite inadequate!! You have inspired me - I think I might have a go at patchwork in the New Year. I've got so many scraps, it would just be fun! Hope your's is going well :)

I love the look of real patchwork - I found some gorgeous new fabrics in Shrewsbury Market hall today that would make perfect little patchworks.x Jo
Your house sounds rather like mine in an evening :-) Busy fingers next to a snoring hubby hehehe

Stitching hexi's does become addictive and like you say great to be able to stitch while watching TV.
oh thank you - I didn't want to like the big headed so and so anyway!! Phew, I can still dislike him. Thanks for the info :D

these look very small to me Fiona, am super impressed by your patience. And I LOVE the fabrics. A controlled and knowing work desk then. Hmm, may have to borrow a leaf....
It's enjoyable seeing how your getting on with your quilt. I'm really liking the fabric
Seeing that fabric makes me crave sewing something. Happy WOYWW!
Your equipment alone looks inspiring! Hope the snores don't impact adversely on the stitching :).
fun stuff to play with there! I tried quilting but just didn't have the stick to it that I needed. I guess I have a short attention span. My DH tells me he isn't asleep and snoring when I wake him and tell him to go to bed! Right! Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #62

It's great to feel like you are doing something useful while also watching tv isn't it? I'm going through a knitting phase at the moment
Went to check out the other fabrics too... and I think they're going to be sooo pretty together! Hope you have loads of fun with the stitching. Belated happy WOYWW!

I think a lot of crafting goes on in front of the tv and with snoring husbands. Dani#107
I've just glanced back at your previous post, too - the fabrics look gorgeous! :) I've found my new skill of knitting to be great for while watching TV, haven't tried out any quilting yet....
I really can't wait to see all of your hexagons stitched together x
