What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday ~ 136

So the desk top and its legs have been reunited at last and I now have somewhere to work again. The sun is streaming in through the windows this afternoon and it feels like a good place to be.

The shoulder bag kit from Sew! by Cath Kidston is going to be my first project. It’s been a while since I last used my sewing machine and I need to familiarise myself with it again. I’ve read through the directions and can’t quite get my head around the ‘t-junction’ corners. Next stop Youtube!

To see what everyone else is up to this week, head on over to Julia’s place. I’m hoping I’ll have a finished bag to show you next week. Fingers crossed.

Here's a colourful and beautifully organised space ... and you've got sunshine too? I am doubly, no trebly envious - I forgot the bag.

Hi,
I have that book too. It's terrible isn't it? All these things we want to do and so little time. I too live by the sea, where are you?

One day I will learn to sew properly, and if my friend has anything to do with it, it will be sooner rather than later!
Always envious of anyone who can sew, lives by the sea AND has sunshine!

Visiting from WOYWW....I do envy your sunshine...they are calling for slushy snow later today. I really can't complain though as we seem to have missed winter so far:) That bag looks lovely. Good luck sorting out the corners.

I live in Worthing, West Sussex although I am originally from Hove.

I decided to make bags as an intro to sewing - so far so good. It may not help but I got a book off Amazon called SEW WHAT Bags! Haven't found others in the series to be much use but that has been my bag bible and I love it!
Hope your T corners work out a treat :)

I have that book too! I've not ventured more than a quick flick through and I got it last year for Christmas (the one before last year IYKWM) I've not heard of t junction corners... let me know how you get on, I might give it a go if I know someone else has made it already!

That is a cute looking bag and the fabric is fabulous. I too hope you have a finished bag to show us next week!

And I'm happy for you that your table has legs again.

Yes the cover on mydesk is for a sewing machine. My simple singer is underneath it. Can't get the credit for it though as it was a swap I entered into. My cover went to a lady in USA for a large embroidery machine. can you tell me what model your Janome is and what you think of it as I'm planning on changing my machine and am rather keen on changing companies? Hugs Mrs A. #120.
p.s. Now I have twigged who you are!!

My next week's desk will be very different as I am staying with a friend and her desk has a sewing machine on it. Doubt I will use it though as I am no sewer these days. Look forward to seeing your makes.
Thanks for sharing and for commenting on my blog - Hugs, Neet xx
