What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #410

It seems that two weeks have sneaked by since I last shared what I was up to. Instead of a desk shot, I've got a shelfie for you today.

Like many of you, I don't have a dedicated craft room. I've got a floor to ceiling bookcase, in the lounge, which houses all my crafting goodies. As you can see it's in a *bit* of a mess at the moment and that's only the part I'm showing you!

My task this week is to sort it out. Stampin' Up released the list of retiring items on Monday, which means I need to order my stamps into current and retired. Makes life easier when I'm planning classes.

Very sad to see Kinda Eclectic go as it's one of my favourites. I think I would have bought it for those leaves alone. Petite Petals with its matching punch will be missed as well. It's one of the sets I recommend to people just starting out as it's great value and very useful.

Next week I might have an organised set of shelves to show you. It's the Easter Holidays here, meaning no school runs, so I'me hopeful. Linking up with Julia and the Deskers on this beautiful sunny afternoon. Happy Wednesday.

Hi Fiona. Love the card - and I don't reckon your shelves which you showed us are all that messy. You should see what ISN'T in my photo!! No, perhaps, on second thoughts, maybe I shouldn't give you an attack of the vapours!!
Take care. God bless.

Hi Fiona, if I spent as much time actually crafting,as I seem to spend tidying and reorganising, I'd be under a mountain if cards! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 XxXx

Argh! Does that mean you have to pull it all off the shelves before you pit it all back on again? !

Oh I do love having a good old sort out! I bet you'll have a lot of fun sorting out what's current and what could be put away for a while. When something is retired, do you have to leave a period of time before using it at your classes or does it never see the light of day again? That flower and leaf stamp is gorgeous, I can see why you're going to miss it!

I on the other hand, hate sorting out! I get distracted part way through and fed up and end up shoving it all back so it's a worse mess than before I start.... love that flower - but I bet the replacements will be fab too! Helen #1

It must be lovely to have a break from that School Run, even if it does free up time for sorting! I agree though, there's nothing worse than a not-available image to be on the front of the shelf and suddenly inspiring you to a bunch of ideas, A floor to ceiling set of shelves demands some discipline in tidy though gal...if it were mine, it would have to have a curtain!!

Sorting stuff is not my favourite job, I get too easily distracted so I hope you manage it better than me Lol! Mind you will probably find things you had forgotten about so that's got to be good! Have a lovely woyww and a great crafty week.

Actually, I like reorganizing and sorting---once in awhile! I did a big one in January, and still need to label the boxes and crates. Love the card; I'd buy the stamps for both the flowers and the leaves if I didn't already have so many florals to choose from. Hope the sorting goes quickly. It's sure to be satisfying in the end.

Beautiful card. That is a great stamp set! Everyone has a little Spring fever as many of us are trying to clean and organize our areas. Good luck! No matter what you do, it'll be great. Dorlene #34

LOL! Those shelves make me feel right at home! I've been starting to sort mine out but you know how there's MORE of a mess once you start? Then that gets disheartening...but I'm getting there....just need to order some more of those WONDERFUL SU cases for my clear stamps... LOVE that card. Those flower stamps are the bomb. LOVE 'em!!!

Lovely card, and I have shelves like that, it si just that they are behind cupboard doors, so never seem to get tidied.

"Shelfie" - love it! As I do your card. It's a lovely combination of the stamped and punched (or fussy-cut?). Not envying you that clearing out and tidying process but wishing you luck!
