One Photo in Twenty Words ~ Buttercups

Today, I’m linking up with Abi at Creating Paper Dreams.

Does this mean the grass needs cutting? Can’t really call it a lawn. The fields underneath are making a comeback.

They're prettier than the dandelions our lawn is currently sporting. I'd be tempted to leave them for a bit longer!

I love all the little flowers that pop up in a lawn - even the dandelions - I get quite sad when Mr P mows and they all go.

We've got more weeds than grass....but at least buttercups are pretty.

Ah, now some of the comments about your buttercups on other blogs make sense! They are lovely ... we had loads last year but dandelions reign supreme this year.

Oh gosh, that would be tough to chop down!

I too think you should leave them. Loved buttercups as a child and still do now.

Reminds me of being a child and holding buttercups under your chin, if you saw a reflection of yellow it meant you liked butter!

Hi Fiona, yes leave them a bit longer. Weeds are flowers too once you get to know them x

Nope, don't cut them!

Love this picture. We used to have these in our yard all the time when I was little. I was crushed when Dad explained one day that they are weeds.
