I should warn you that this post turned into a bit of a food fest. If you haven’t eaten yet, or are sticking to a diet, you might want to look away now!
Eight red peppers turned into four jars of Sweet Chilli Jam. Delicious with cold meat and with the home made chicken fillet burgers we had on Saturday.
Four new recipes tried, including Pasta with Pancetta, Leek and Mushrooms.
Paprika Chicken from The Hairy Dieters book…..
…..with three more peppers.
Five kilos of sweet potatoes and carrots made into several litres of Meadow Barn soup to restock the freezer. It doesn’t last long in this cold weather.
Twenty bananas whizzed into the same number of smoothies, along with a variety of other ingredients. Including frozen forest fruits, which I found lurking at the bottom of the chest freezer. Best Before End: 19th October 2008! I’m still here.
That’s my little round up for January. I found it easier with a theme. Linking up with Julie and all the other counters at Notes on Paper.

Wow what a foodfest!!
Nom nom nom to Meadow Barn soup - I did a tidy up of our big chest freezer the other day and found a couple of containers with MB soup in - I made them last April but I am sure they will be fine - if I don't get to Meadow Barn in March then you will know that they weren't. I also found two boxes of mince pies made in December 2011 - Mr P has put himself forward to be the sole tester of those!!
I have eaten but now I feel the need to eat again...... : )
I'm glad I'm not the only one who eats food that's drastically out of date!! My kids go nuts when they see something a couple of days out of date.
What a great month-in-numbers post, and your food photos are awesome!
Yum :) im doing a clear out of my cupboards and oh my word I'm shocked at how many out of date things I have lol ... But same as you, I've been using them and we'll no illness here lol
I've been looking for a chilli jam recipe - sounds like this one would be recommended!
Mouthwatering pics :-)
I love Chicken Paprikash!! good to see you doing the MIN bandwagon as well Fiona :)
Lovely photos :)
Fortunately I've got my lunch on my desk and can tuck in when I've finished catching up with M inN bloggers!
Great post - lots of people are turning to theme their posts at the moment - I love it that people make the idea their own!
I haven't made anything to freeze for a while ... things tend to just lurk there if you're not careful don't they? [Like your fruit!]
Thanks for joining in and linking up - you're on the board now: I've added you to the board now: http://pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/
Happy February!

I love that courageous smoothie! and I'm off to hunt out the chicken paprika recipe because it's one I've been meaning to try. Thank you
A very nice foody month in numbers. I'm like you, if I ever joined month in numbers then I'd have to have a theme x
I love that you've themed it :) How did you find the pancetta and leek pasta? Like the sound of the chicken and paprika one.
I love all these photographs.
