What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday #169

…..or tales from the kitchen table.

P1020287

A bit of early morning crafting going on here. I grabbed the opportunity before there were children wanting to eat breakfast. Pushed to the back, the remains of last night’s ‘kitting’ session. At the front, the beginnings of a birthday card, featuring my favourite way to make butterflies right now.

My next job is to photograph the stages of putting together a simple gift card holder, but the light is very poor here at the moment. The tutorial should be up tomorrow for those lovely people that wanted to know how I made it. I’m off to Julia’s place first though, to browse a few desks while I drink my tea. See you there.

That's really clever of you to have spotted the butterfly shape within the flower..it looks like filigree work! I can see you using that an awful lot for different projects :)

It's funny how you develop a new favourite way to do something or use something. Mine were the Marianne roses die and now my Dylusions never get a rest lol.

Hi Fiona! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such lovely comments today!

I love the way you've snipped the flower to maken the butterfly shape - a really neat idea and very effective!

Will you be coming to the crop in October?

I never realised that snipping two petals off a flower made a butterfly... that is genius! Thank you for sharing.
Have a good week,

Such glowing colours, so early in the day ... Wondering what's under the dark-coloured notebook - am attracted by the pattern!

I do love that way of making butterflies but I think Mr Wonderful would give me a funny look if I got a flower punch and stamp to make butterflies!
