August has been a busy month and it's been great to have a complete break from card making. With my first class of the Autumn term only a week away, I need to get my head back in the game.
All the new seasonal goodies are coming in so I need to start planning. Now I love Christmas, but firmly in its place, which is after Halloween. With that in mind I like to come up with a few alternative ideas for the Christmas products.
I'm easing myself in gently with the Quilt Top embossing folder.
Linking up with Julia and the deskers this afternoon.
I agree with you. There's generally entirely TOO much Christmas in most stores anymore. We used to never see anything like that till right after Thanksgiving. And don't get me started on how I dislike all of the carols they play on intercoms. (rolling eyes) It's disgusting, imho LOLz And what is up with offering H'ween stiff as early as June???? Dear me! - I guess I need to quite kvetching and smile.
ReplyDeleteI really like your very pretty and sophisticated looking quilt card. I could see it used for any time of the year.
Happy WOYWW!

ReplyDeleteI don't do C until I really have to (middle of October). I love the patchwork of papers then embossed with the patchwork folder. Happy WOYWW Sarah #13
ReplyDeleteNice background paper. I can't get my head round the C word yet! Have a great crafty week and happy woyww, Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteNow we started talking about Christmas at supper yesterday and August isn't even out!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful little patchwork design. xx
ReplyDeleteI need to plan my Christmas cards a little earlier than usual this year, but that still means the middle of October. We're going to be babysitting for a couple of weeks, and I'm hoping to take my card making supplies with me. I LOVE the colors of the patchwork, and that embossing plate (which I've never seen) is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHi Fiona, love that 'quilt' What a great way to use up scraps & offcuts. I may be trying that in the future! Late visiting the second half of the list, had real trouble with my shoulder. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 X
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card & I think the colours & everything about it could be used for other than Christmas & I was thinking Thanksgiving. I have "great" plans for Christmas card making this year. I have signed up for a Christmas stamping workshop!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit earlier - stepping outside with PJ is always an adventure! He turns the simplest trip into one!!
ReplyDeleteLove that new embossing folder, I may have to go back into the Catalogue and have another look through.
I will send you an email later .... my Christmas one I'm afraid as I don't 'do' All Hallows Eve.
