….ironmonger
A proper old fashioned shop. Here when I was a child and still serving the local community forty years on.
I’m joining in with Abi’s monthly meme and still keeping up with Photo A Day. Yay!
PS Did you spot the name of the Hairdresser Abi?
Great shot!
ReplyDeletelooks a great place.
ReplyDeleteI love those old fashioned shops
ReplyDeleteA lovely photo ... where is it, please?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely looking row of shops.
ReplyDeleteOur local iron monger just closed down :( We have to go out of the city and into a village down the road for one now!
ReplyDeleteA picture postcard picture
Like Sian our local Ironmonger closed last year. Love that street though.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of those shops that you'll always find something you just must have :)
ReplyDeleteNothing like an ironmongers for all those bits nobody else has
ReplyDeleteSo quaint!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely street shot! I love the colorful banners with the green storefront!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely street . And those banners give a note of cheerful color.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to still have that traditional shop. I smiled at the hairdressers too!
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a shop in our town that sold all sorts of things but they were kept in little boxes behind the counter and you had to ask to see them. Very sweet and quaint if a little frustrating at times.
What a great looking place x
ReplyDeleteWe are still lucky enough to have a proper old fashioned hardware store here in the village - it is an absolute treasure trove and more fun than going to B&Q. Mr P likes to go in and say 'I bet you haven't got .....' - they always delight in finding exactly what he is looking for!!
ReplyDeleteSadly, there aren't many businesses that are able to last so long! Most of the stores I frequented as a child are long gone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat looking shop!
