Joining in with the lovely Abi, of Creating Paper Dreams, today.
Up above the streets and houses, rainbow climbing high….
What can I say? I am a child of the seventies.
If you are too young to remember it, or didn’t grow up in the UK. Here’s what you missed.
That little project I was working on yesterday? I finished it. Yes, you read that right. I even remembered to photograph the stages as I went along. I’ll be back tomorrow with a tutorial, for using up fabric scraps, to make a quick gift.
PS Got that song in your head now? You’re welcome.
Yes I do have that song in my head, thanks for that lol
ReplyDeleteI really have got the song going around and around in my head now lol.
ReplyDeleteThat was the very first record I owned. I was all of 5 years old - and I still have it. Thanks for the ear-worm!
ReplyDeleteRemember it well but have to say I was always a little concerned with what they were doing with their other hand :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Annie x
i love how the house at the end of the rainbow looks gold! might be a leprechaun there ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm singing along with you!
ReplyDeleteAwww reminds me of when I took my eldest nephew to see the Rainbow show at our local theatre. We had front row seats and he kept saying 'it won't be the real Rainbow. it won't be the real Rainbow' When Geoffrey, Rod, Jane and Freddy walked on stage, he leapt up in his seat yelling 'It is the real Rainbow', I sat and cried to see him so happy as back in those dsys he didn't have the greatest home life. Happy to have this as an ear worm - I loved that show xx
ReplyDeleteIt's going round and round now!!
ReplyDeletehaha I loved Zippy x
ReplyDeleteAh, Bungle Bear and Zippy! I am too old to remember it from my own childhood, but remember it from watching it with my nephew (who loved it) when I was in my teens.
ReplyDeleteWe had a complete double rainbow as well. So very beautiful against the black clouds.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm going to play some of the other kind of Rainbow (with Dio) to get that music out of my head...
Rosey x
I didn't know the song but love your photo! What a capture.
ReplyDeleteI only know it from other people's explanations but still like the photo :)
