Here I’ve added some Lucky Limeade ribbon and cute Everyday Enchantment brads.

P1020123

This one uses the butterfly technique I showed you last week. My personal favourite.

As an added bonus, until July 31st, you’ll receive two 10 metre reels of organdy ribbon in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade and a tub of 30 Everyday Enchantment printed brads.

Friday Find ~ Summer List

We’re a week into the summer holidays now and it’s all been pretty chilled out so far. The sun has shone and we’ve all enjoyed not being in the whole school routine. We always spend the first week sorting out the bedrooms. Clearing out old toys and outgrown clothes and sifting through the school work to see what needs to be kept.

Over the weekend we’ll make our plans for the next five weeks. The list won’t be quite as impressive looking as this one from whatever… but I think it helps to stop the long summer from just disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Hope the sun is shining with you.

PS If you want a few ideas for keeping your children/grandchildren entertained, then you can find my posts from last year here and here.

What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday #164

Another late appearance this week. It’s the school holidays here and I’m making the most of being able to spend time with my children. They had friends over this afternoon, so I took the opportunity to use up all the scraps left over from the cards I made at the weekend.

P1020124

Here are a couple of the resulting cards. Only 3 x 3” and very quick to put together. I have some brads and ribbons, like the ones in the picture, to give away and it’s open until midnight Friday. You just need to be a follower and leave a comment here.

P1020123

The peg bag from last week is on hold as I seem to have misplaced a vital part of my sewing machine. No doubt it will turn up somewhere unexpected.

Head on over to Julia’s place to see what everyone else has been up to today.

Stampin’ Up Saturday ~ Mixed Bunch #3

This week I’ve got another card for you using the Mixed Bunch set and matching Blossom punch in a different way. I’m also having a little give away.

P1020118

It’s very simple to transform the bloom into a butterfly. Stamp, punch and snip out two of the petals. Tie some twine around the centre and add a few pearls for a body.

P1020116

My colour scheme is Calypso Coral and Pool Party with Very Vanilla and Soft Suede. These colours, along with Lucky Limeade, co-ordinate with the Everyday Enchantment designer papers. They’ve been made available again for a limited time.

There’s also a special offer if you spend £45 on SU products this month. Two reels of organdy ribbon in Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral and a tub of 30 printed brads, as seen in my first photo. If you’d like a closer look at the flyer, then contact me at angelfishcrafts{at}gmail{dot}com and I’ll email you a full size copy.

I promised a give away and here it is. Three lucky followers will get 3 metres of each colour of ribbon and a set of 10 brads, two in each design. All you need to do is leave me a comment and be a follower, whether you’ve been with me from the beginning or are brand new today. I’ll pick the winners next Saturday. Good luck!

Friday Find ~ Case for iPod Touch/iPhone

Need a case for your iPod Touch or iPhone? This one Made by Marzipan is a goodie and can even be adapted for an iPad.

There are clear instructions and a video tutorial, if you fancy having a go at making your own.

I’ll be back tomorrow with an idea for using the Mixed Bunch stamps and matching punch to make butterflies. I might just have a little giveaway for you too.

What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday? #163

A very quick one from me this week.

P1020115

I just had time, while dinner was in the oven, to sketch out a pattern for a peg bag. That brown paper packaging came in very handy, as the copier paper was too small. I’m making one for myself and another for my Mum. Can you guess which is which?

If you want to see how the cards from last Wednesday turned out, they are here.

For lots more desks make your way to Julia’s Place.

Stampin’ Up Saturday ~ Mixed Bunch #2

If you were here on Wednesday, you would have seen the production line for this card. The light is no better today!

P1020107

I needed a simple design, because the ladies attending my first SU workshop were not crafters. I wanted them to feel that they could produce something that looked good, but not be overwhelmed by too many new things at once. A matching stamp set and punch is ideal for this. Everyone got great results with their cards.

The colours are Pear Pizazz and Pink Pirouette. All other products are detailed here

P1020110

A few people have asked about the pleated ribbons I used on my cards a couple of weeks ago. You can find them on p.12 of the Summer Mini Catalogue online.

P1020111

I have a ribbon share available at the moment: one full metre of each of the four colours for £5.95 including UK shipping. If you’re interested in this, or would like a paper copy of the Summer Mini please get in touch.

You can reach me at angelfichcrafts{at}gmail{dot}com

Next Saturday I’ll show you how to make a cute butterfly using the Blossom Punch and a stamp from the Mixed Bunch set. Hope to see you then.

PS If you missed my Friday Finds yesterday, they are over at Sian’s Place this week.

What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday? #162

Hello, hello! Very late in the day, but I’ve been out and about ‘til now. Dropping my son off at his work experience placement. A 20 mile round trip. Home again to pick up my girl and take her to the eye clinic in Dorchester. A 60 mile round trip. Back home, then out again to pick up the worker. I’m glad to be home.

P1020040

I’ve just got time, before I start cooking the dinner, to assemble a whole bunch of cards. They are for swaps at our team training on Sunday. The flowers are pale pink on white and I couldn’t get them to show up very well. Best get on with the gluing.

If you want to see more desks, or share your own, then go visit Julia, the queen of crafty spaces.

Stampin’ up Saturday ~ Mixed Bunch

This set is one I might have overlooked, as I am not really a floral girl, but it has proved to be very useful. With the matching punch you can whip up a card in no time at all. Very handy if you need one at the last minute, which I often do.

P1020034

I stamped a couple of flowers directly onto the Whisper White. Another on a separate piece, along with a centre, which I punched out. The leaves are made by punching another flower from cardstock and cutting into pieces. The assembled flower is then added to the background using foam pads to give some dimension.

P1020039

Stamps ~ Mixed Bunch (and Curly Cute for sentiment)

Punches ~ Blossom, 3/4” circle

Inks ~ Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive

Cardstock ~ Whisper White, Old Olive

Apologies for the awful photos. I waited until this afternoon in the vain hope that the dark skies would clear, but sadly not. The rain hasn’t stopped here since lunchtime yesterday. Hoping it’s better wherever you might be.

If you are interested in any of these products drop me a line at angelfishcrafts{at}gmail{dot}com and I’ll be happy to help.

What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday #161

I was absent last Wednesday (sorry Ms Dunnit) because there was nothing remotely crafty happening on the kitchen table, or the ironing board. I thought this week was heading the same way until my girl came home from school, eager to teach me what she’d learnt in maths today.

P1020032

How to make a hexagon or a pentagon from an A4 sheet of paper by folding only. Very clever. At school they have been making the hexagons from A5 paper and then they are going to stick all the shapes together to make a football.

P1010987

These are the ATCs I made to celebrate the 3rd birthday of WOYWW. I think most of them have arrived safely and you will have seen them on a couple of other blogs anyway. Now you know why I was making woodgrain envelopes a few weeks ago. I’ll take a photo of the ones I received to share next week.
