Like a lot of you, I set myself a few goals for the coming year. Some of them I declared and others I kept to myself. How have I got on during this first month of the year? Better than I thought, but not quite as well as I would have liked!
4 is the number of challenges I have managed from the list I made public. I told a story about a Christmas past for Sian, shared my desk each week over at Julia’s, blogged a list of 10 for Shimelle and I’m counting up my month with Julie today.
1 is the number I failed to complete, although I do have 2 sewing projects on the go and I did bake a delicious lemon drizzle cake. Does that count Annie?
2 is the number of new recipes I’ve tried. The lemon cake above and a new way with chicken. I was hoping for 4, something new each week, will try harder next month.
2 is also the number of books I’ve read this month. That was my aim, although I would love to read more, I’m being realistic here.
4 is the number of ‘labs’ I completed from this book. I’m aiming for 1 a week, as there are 52 of them.
31 is the number of daily photos I snapped. I know a lot of fellow bloggers are following the 365+1 challenge and I have used a few of the prompts, on days when I didn’t have anything else in mind. This was ‘cosy’.
Not a bad start to the year. I can’t quite believe this month is over already and it will be the first What’s on your Workdesk Wednesday of February tomorrow. Don’t forget Storytelling Sunday this week too. Maybe I’ll be reading a tale of yours then.
I know! How can it be February tomorrow? At least it's a short month - means there is something left in the kitty at the end!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out about Sunday :)
Well done, you did really well on your goals. I would agree with Sian - can't beleive it is February tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHappy new number keeping year to you. Cakes, cosy food and reading ... sounds like a nice wholesome month!
ReplyDeleteYour post is pinned to the Month in Numbers baord with everyone else's now: http://pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/
I'll keep you up to date on the toilet roll longevity ... ;-)
Julie :-)
Sounds like you're off to a good start on most of your goals. I'm working on my numbers this afternoon & hoping to share them tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOff and running! I think you're going really well, two books in the month, that means you've made more time, and thats very clever! I love your numbers..makes for a great scrapbooker journal page.
ReplyDeleteGoodness Fi, I think you've done really well :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant goal achieving (and some scarily similar numbers to mine!)
ReplyDeleteI approached my Month in Numbers in a similar way as you did and you gave me the great idea to keep track of new recipes (will do that for February) - I enjoyed reading your post and would gladly take some of that lemon cake of your hands if you have any left! :D
ReplyDeleteWell I think you've done very well this month. I find the good thing about lists is that even if you don't do everything on them you probably end up doing more than you would have if you hadn't written the list at all which is good.
ReplyDeleteThese number posts are a lot of fun - you have done well with the new recipes too!
ReplyDeleteLemon Drizzle Cake looks fab. Your post is great, going to steal the number of new recipes if you don't mind! X
ReplyDeleteHasn't January flown?! I WANT CAKE!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, that drizzle cake looks delicious ... and so does your collage book. I'd be lucky to complete one a week, so I am envious of your energy and looking forward to seeing more!
ReplyDeleteLabs? I need to know more! And I also need cake now, darn it.
ReplyDeleteYou've done so well on your goals - I need to do the new recipe thing too :)
