Memorandum Monday ~ Waiting Up

It's been a busy weekend around here. Lots to do on little sleep. Waiting up for my boy to come home from his work Christmas party on Friday and a night out with friends on Saturday. That was a first.

As a result of those 1am and 3.50am bedtimes (the latter followed by a 6.30am alarm call to give him a lift to work) Sunday lunch was soup and a toasted sandwich.

Waving to Sian and the Mondayers on this grey December afternoon.

  2. O-er! I've feeling a bit dizzy headed just thinking about that lack of sleep. I'm useless after a night like that. I hope he had a great time: I'm cheering on that first. I know it's a good one :)

  4. Oh those late nights that end up being early mornings! I never could get to sleep until they were safely nome, and I am awful if I don't get a good night's sleep. How on earth did he manage his shift at work? One of the benefits of being young I guess!

  6. Oh to operate on so few hours, I just couldn't do it. Well done for your son - there must have been a smile or two from you even with the crazy arrival home time.

Happy week ahead - wishing you opportunities for a few naps :)

  7. They stay out so late these youngsters. I was never allowed out that late....... Yes it does cause disturbed sleep. I do now go onto bed but ask them to call out and tell us when they are back. The worst is if I wake before they are home and my mind goes into overdrive of worry. We also seem to be the place where they like to stay overnight so I frequently wake to the sounds of a 3 O clock snack being prepared and happy not very quiet voices. I don't really mind I know they are safe once they are under my roof. Oh to be that age again! Hope your son had a good time.

  8. It's funny how when we're young, those late nights a just not a big deal. We could thrive on little sleep if it meant hanging with friends. The older we get, the harder it is to go with such little sleep. We have to make it up somewhere. For me, I better not sit still for too long, or it's all over!
