Ah Monday, we're glad of a quiet one this week. Yesterday, the alarms (all three of them!) went off at 6am, to get my boy off for the first full shift in his new job. This was the goody bag he received at a previous interview with the same company. He didn't get that job, but they kept him in mind and called him back a fortnight later.
While he was out of the house, for twelve hours, I had plenty to keep me busy. The Room of Doom has been calling my name for a while and I could put it off no longer. Those of you that follow me on Instagram will have witnessed my shame, no need to repost here! I was pleased with my progress.
The workers were well rewarded for their endeavours, with a home made chip dinner cooked by The Mechanic. Egg for me and steak for my boy. That was something else new. A cut of steak that we'd seen recommended on an eat well for less type of show. It got a big thumbs up. Tastier than fillet and a whole lot cheaper.
Waving to Sian and the Mondayers on this sunny afternoon. Have a great week.
Oh, brilliant! I think they'd be a great company to work for. A huge well done to him. Mmm..steak and chips..how delicious..
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great week
Putting an egg on top of anything is all the rage here. In fact, I've gotten to where if an egg is part of the meal, I'm ordering it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your room of doom photo - I have a room of doom but I feel a bit better about it now as it isn't quite as cluttered as yours (but still no excuse for me putting off sorting it out LOL!!) Hope you will share an after photo.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week xx
I've found that programme really interesting and have found some good 'swaps' along the way. Those home cooked chips look delicious, perfect to dip into that egg!
ReplyDeleteI can only support the eating of eggs. Who knows it could be one of ours. Being a bit nosey I shall be off to Instagram to see more about the room of doom but then on the other hand I could just look at my girls' bedrooms!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on the steak, I'll certainly check it out xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to hear that a company said they'd keep someone in mind and then actually did! I hope he enjoyed his first day x
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your boy on his new job and my - that meal looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteRoom of doom 😉
ReplyDeleteHope he is finding his job to his liking. And that plates looks very appetizing.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that nice dinner was much appreciated after the rigours of a new job. Looks like a good company - hoping it's all going well.
