Here we are again, sharing our desks midweek. There was a fifth Wednesday in April and I teach on the first and third so it seems like ages since I held a class.
Yes, it’s those feathers again. I can’t get enough of them and it’s not just me, it seems. One of the staff at the Arts Centre popped in, while my ladies were having coffee, and bought my class sample! He’s commissioned me to make five more. That’s never happened to me before. I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling yet.
I can’t show you the card in question as I hadn’t taken a photo of it. I usually line them up on the bookshelf, once I’ve got home and had my lunch. You’ll have to make do with this one instead.
If you fancy a nose around some other work spaces (or maybe you’d like to share your own) head over to Julia’s place and read all about it.
PS If you’re going to the WOYWW crop and would like any Stampin’ Up goodies to pick up from me there, I’ll be placing an order tomorrow ~ Thursday 7th. All profits to be donated to Zoe’s charity. Just leave me a comment or send me a message at angelfishcrafts {at} gmail {dot} com
Lovely card- and a lovely array on your desk!! I will get my head around SU as you are the only person i know with access! Chrisx49
ReplyDeleteHi Fiona. What a lovely card.
ReplyDeleteI am planning to send ATCs to those going to the crop so you can have one on the day and am sending a stamped addressed envelope for anyone wanting to swap with me but please don't feel you have to....it's just what I am wanting to do as I am unable to go this year.
Hugs,
Annie x # 13

ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not surprised...those feathers are classy and elegant and can be used for all occasions! But it's very nice when such a compliment comes from an unexpected source.

ReplyDeleteWhat a super card! The colours and internal textures/shapes are very attractive.
ReplyDeleteMust admit I have always been meh about feathers but you always make such lovely cards with them. Well done on the commission x
ReplyDeleteI think the feathers are on a slow burn in popularity, know what I mean...it only takes skill like yours to show em off a bit more and they'll be off! How nice to get a commission..Ive had one recently too, so I know exactly how that smile feels!
ReplyDeleteIt occurs to me rather stupidly late, that you may like to have a space at the WOYWW Crop for your SU! business....we have Sarah bringing Phoenix, so it would be nice!
i'm not surprised you were commissioned to make more! These feather stamps are lovely...do they come with matching die cutters?
ReplyDeleteLovely feather stamps and a great idea to support Zoe's fundraising.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to catching up at the crop
