Another week, another Wednesday, another work space. Yes, that’s right, I’ve decamped from the kitchen and have a desk, of sorts, in the lounge again. Yay!
It’s actually a clever cupboard to house my sewing machine, so that can live in the lounge too. It has a handy fold out work space at the back, which means it can double up for paper crafting (or any other kind) as well. I love it already.
This was me yesterday, making an extra piece of patterned card stock, ready to demonstrate a simple gift box this morning. I’m sure my class don’t need (or want!) to see me stamp a whole sheet. I’ll share the finished article on Saturday, along with a tutorial. It’s very easy to make, especially if you use ready patterned paper!
Here’s another quick make. Our “20 minute” card from the last session. It was nice to stamp something simple and pretty, after our male themed morning with the feathers and a couple of messier and fussier techniques. Those cards are in this post if you’d like to see them.
I’m off to load my car, once I’ve linked up with Julia. It’s looking like a beautiful day.
love your stamped piece lovely colours

Hi Fiona
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you were stamping on fabric and being very clever.... Which you are ..... Just not on fabric.... Love the pattern you have stamped..... It's not easy getting it all lined up like that .....
Have fun at the class

Hi Fiona, love the card and the background. Quick question- the rubber stamp I asked you about- do they do an embossing folder the same? Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #16 xx
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done card, and I am intrigued y the sound of your cupboard. I'd love a row of these across a wall - one for sewing, one for scrapping, one for painting!
ReplyDeleteLove your stamping! Enjoy your new workspace in the lounge!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous time! Your card is so pretty and perfect for Spring! The patterned paper you are making is going to make a lovely card too. Popped over to see the masculine cards and what I like about them as really they can be for anyone. Great use of color. Winnie #48
ReplyDeleteSometimes *simple* is so refreshing.

I love your 'home made' patterned paper. Those designs are beautiful. The colours are stunning too.
ReplyDeleteI love your finished tree card. And I went to see you feather cards too. I have a few stamps but I don't buy many as I don't know what to do with them. I wish I could could to one of your classes. (are you doing any next month that are not on a weekend?)
Have a great week,
Lisca#45
