No crafting in progress, for you to have a nosy at, today. It’s been in use all morning for either eating, revision or packing parcels. I’m just back from delivering my boy to a nearby village for an afternoon session of D&D with friends. A much needed break for all of them.
There are a few things on the table though. The box at the back is a parcel waiting for courier pick up. I’ve been “destashing” the stamps and ink pads I no longer use and saving the money towards a dressmaking dummy. The good news is I’ve reached my target and she is on her way as of this morning. I’m very excited.
The rest is what came in the post. A gorgeous postcard from Beverly as part of Liberate your Art, the all important Polling Cards and a second hand copy of Cross Stitch. I can’t wait to get stuck into the latter. I’ve been very much enjoying the recent TV adaptation of these books, now that it’s finally made its way onto streaming. Anyone else an Outlander fan?
Finally, the “little something” that I made for my nieces and nephews this year.
Linking up with Julia for the Wednesday desk hopping extravaganza.
Nice post and not a brown envelope in sight!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're being kept busy with family commitments this week. Hope you manage some 'me' time soon to be creative.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

It's great to get stuck into a good book. Even if you have seen the TV adaptation. The book is usually better. We don't watch tv so I don't know anything about the Outlanders, but it sounds great. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week,

There's a book called cross-stitch? I can't even imagine!! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40
ReplyDeleteI got totally hooked on Outlander during the first season and once it was over, read all 8 books from the original series. It became a bit of an obsession during 2014! Absolutely fantastic stories and writing.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, a proper sewing form...you'll be in next year's Sewing Bee at this rate!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 15 xx
And I thought it was actually a how-to book :). Having a dressmaker's dummy sounds wonderful - one of the things that puts me off sewing is the endless taking things on and off!
ReplyDeletethey are my desert island books, I love them and read them over and over - I hadn't realised we could get the series over here, so am gutted - do they live up to the books? Helen #4
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your book :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on destashing enough to be able to buy a dressmaking form - how wonderful! I don't know anything about the Outlanders but I hope you enjoy the book. As others have said, the book is usually much more enjoyable than the series. Have a good week. Elizabeth x #50
ReplyDeleteI have read all kinds of books by Diana Gabaldon, but I don't know this one. Have fun with it!

Ooh: a dressmaker's dummy! That's very exciting.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's revision and eating round here too. At least the sun is shining!
That's a great way to package the easter egg so much more personal than the usual.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy crafting, Angela x

Well you know I have been an Outlander fan for years, enjoy the book. Enjoy your dress form when she arrives x
ReplyDeleteI love the Easter egg holder. My daughter has read that book, I got excited when she asked me to collect a book from the library called Cross Stitch, I thought my creativeness was rubbing off on her! lol x
ReplyDeleteJust googled the book - looks really good, is there a film out in cinema land?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the read.
Have a good week
