Linking up with Abi today, now that the last of the sleeping over boys has left.
I didn’t feel like cooking a Sunday roast. They didn’t feel like eating one. The solution? Hot dogs all round.
Surprisingly those sleeping over boys were all up at 9am. Maybe it was the promise of a full English. Having cooked that for six, I don’t think there will be a Sunday roast here today either!
Hoping that (if you’re in the UK) you’re not being blown away. Happy Sunday to you.
There are times when a quick tasty morsel just hits the spot. Ditch the roast, get out the crafting stuff :).
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough....we are having a roast today for the first time in weeks....must be the change of weather!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks every bit as yummy as a roast, which is more often a crock-pot mid-week meal around here rather than on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteOooh yummy. In the summer I will happily forgo the roast for a hotdog or BBQ! Glad they enjoyed staying over!
ReplyDeleteAnd delicious looking hot dogs they are, too!
ReplyDeleteI included our roast in my blog today. My farmer husband takes a lot of persuading to give up his roast on a Sunday but those hot dogs do look good!
ReplyDeleteThey look so tasty & just how I like them x
ReplyDeleteThere are times when a hot dog is absolutely perfect.
ReplyDeleteGuess what I had to cook the other evening for Mr P after he had seen your hot dog photos on Facebook LOL!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Alexa! Great 20 Words Fiona.
ReplyDeleteGlad such a delicious compromise was possible.
ReplyDeleteThose look like the tastiest hot dogs!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have fancied roast dinner very much recently. The weather this summer has been so warm - hot dogs seem like a good solution.
Now that's the kind of Sunday dinner I like! They look delicious x
