This was the kitchen table yesterday afternoon. I was making up my easel card for the class today. I totally changed my design from the one I had in mind last week!
Because the cards I make are usually fairly clean and simple, I sometimes forget that style is not always appropriate for a class project. A card you can whip up in 10 minutes is not a lot of use for a two hour class. I’d need about 10 designs for every session. This one should take about half an hour. Here’s a sneak peek.
I’ll share the full card later in the week.
That’s me for today. Want to see what everyone else has to share? Head on over to the Stamping Ground where Julia will be happy to welcome you.
That's a pretty colour combination with the Kraft colour ... And hope the 'fussy cutting' keeps them busy!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I love the new colors and stamps. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #26
ReplyDeleteYour cards are always elegant....a bit like you really! I love the bright orange and green together :-)

Great sneak peeks! Helen, 13
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought of that! Good point. It looks like you have come up with a suitably satisfying project
ReplyDeleteLove how you've stamped and then cut out the little flowers and the colours you've used too.

Pretties. But I do that for classes..and then discover that what takes me five minutes takes a LOT longer in a class environment! I aim for four cards in two hours but do a lot of paper engineering and pre-cutting if I've over done the images and inking!
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to seeing the finished card as I am loving the little peek you gave us
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW and I hope you have a great week

Looks fab, I do love those colours, I must get my SU inks out and have a play. Like you I like to create a design and then move it around while still using similar stamps and colours. SU is perfect for that I find. Take care Zo xx 29
ReplyDeleteYes your colours are really nice together - Happy WOYWW... Mxx #25

ReplyDeleteYou'd be surprised how long it can take a class to make a 5 minute card! Look forward to seeing the finished projects. Hugs. Pam#26

ReplyDeleteGreat card & colour combo there. i see what you mean about the card classes, that must take a lot of thinking it out, to keep everyone busy for the whole time. Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #36 xxx
ReplyDeleteLeading our church craft group I have learned what takes me no time can take some people forever. Now I try to have other projects early finishers can move on to.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in the class. Great ideas to keep people a bit busy - of course, when designing, we have to remember chatter time....!!
ReplyDeletehave a great week.

Great color combos. I agree about the chatter time, and having something for those who finish early, cause there is always one or two that are new to this type of project.....BUT you will do fine I am sure.

Your work is always so lovely! Maybe I need more practice, or the right pair of scissors, but I just never seem to be able to cut smooth lines. Yours are perfect!
ReplyDeleteMust be quite difficult coming up with a card you're proud off but not in your style
ReplyDeletelovely little flowers, and perfect for ATC's I think! Have a great crafty week! HappY WOyWW
