#208. Yes, you read that right. This is the 208th time that creative folk around the world have shared their desks, with anyone who cares to pop in for a good nose around. Four whole years of desk hopping. Happy Birthday Julia!
The kitchen table was all stacked up this morning, with everything I needed for class. Ready to be loaded into my little Clio. From that to this.
We made a card incorporating several techniques. Using markers, to colour a stamp directly, to achieve a multi coloured image. Inking an embossing folder to give it a vintage look. Inking the edges of punched shapes to give them more definition and layering them to make a 3D flower. So much to share.
My plan for this anniversary blog hop, is to visit as many of you as is humanly possible. It is half term here and I have a busy weekend coming up, so it will probably take me until next Wednesday to get all the way around, but I’ll give it my best shot.
I’m looking forward to meeting some of you on Saturday at the crop and I’m hoping to have a few ATCS made by then, if anyone would like to swap with me. Can’t wait!
I'd just love someone to show me hoe to colour onto a stamp. Really do wish I was a bit closer!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the crop - you sound busy!! x Jo

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - I just love the embossing and colours xx I have recently started using my markers to directly colour onto the stamp - it is surprisingly so easy to do and so many of the SU stamps are perfect for the technique.

Another beautiful card
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry to be late in visiting but I’m now on day four of my quest to get round everyone this week. I know it’s going to take some time, but I wanted to say that it’s amazing that the internet can bring together so many likeminded people and I’m grateful that WOYWW has also brought along so many new friends, thanks to Julia.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card Fiona, the colour is amazing.
Enjoy your weekly snoop, especially as we’re celebrating WOYWW’s 4th Anniversary
Happy Crafting!

What a beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteI'm finally getting around to visiting desks. I was out of town until late Wednesday then had appointments so this is the first opportunity I've had to visit.
Happy WOYWW
Hugs,
Kay (158)
I have already said how gorgeous that card is but it is nice to actually hear you list the techniques you were teaching. I suppose generally you get so used to doing things that you don't realise how many techniques go into something and that beginners wouldn't know most of them! I bet your class must have loved your card! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely to meet you yesterday. Great desk pics and those cards you were making are fab!! Take care Zo xx
ReplyDeleteI am sick today and in bed and the only good thing about it is I get to visit a lot more desks than I normally would have! Happy WOYWW anniversary to you! Patsy
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card. I like it all the embossing, the stamping and the 3d flower. April #125
ReplyDeletehi Fiona, it was great to meet you on Saturday, hope you had a good journey back. Loves watching you recreate this card - it's so pretty
