I’ve been saving this, because it has been so very cold and it didn’t seem quite the time to be sharing a lightweight scarf. It is supposed to be Spring though and I’m going to be making one, in the hope that warmer days are on their way.
There are quite a few tutorials out there. This one from The Cottage Home is nice and straightforward, with only a small amount of hand sewing involved and that’s always a good thing.
If you feel the need for something warmer, then this cowl from The Crimson Owl might be more up your street. I have shared it before, at the end of 2011, but most of the pictures from older posts have disappeared. Has anyone else noticed this happening on their blog?
Stay warm this weekend.
Ooh. Both of those look lovely, but I'd definitely be opting for the warmer cowl. I'm really suffering with the cold.
ReplyDeleteHave your missing photographs been uploaded to your blog? I think you only have a finite amount of space. If not, I've no idea why they're going missing but I do hope you manage to figure it out soon x
Thanks for sharing Fiona - I keep meaning to make one, I wear scarves most of the time to protect my neck from draughts.
ReplyDeleteNot noticed losing anything from mine and I have had my blog since 2010 - blogger does funny things from time to time - every now and then it says I have exceeded my photo limit and I have to switch to photobucket to get my photos uploaded and then suddenly it lets me upload direct from my laptop again.

As much as the first one would be perfect, I'm so cold I'm really thinking the 2nd would be better, with matching gloves and hat lol
ReplyDeleteI love cowls like this.
