I really wanted to share a Jubilee themed story today, but alas I cannot find a single photo of our Silver Jubilee celebrations back in 1977.
There was a celebration of a different kind in our house last month.
Thirteen candles
One wish
These are the only two pictures I managed to take. You have to be quick to catch her unawares these days. No second chance to get a sharper shot, the blur will have to do. Better to have that, than no photo at all.
I’m linking up with Sian today and everyone else who has a story to share.
The blur is actually quite spectacular and very emotive ... your second shot is sensational! Happy Birthday to the thirteen year old!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the 'take what you get' these days - I turned the camera's noises off so they can't hear it  Happy Birthday to your teenager :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures to put a smile on any face this morning! A very Happy Birthday to the birthday girl :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to her. I too like the blurred shot, very cool.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots that capture the moment and personality. You have to grab what you can. Or else raid her camera memory card as if she's anything like mine they take loads with friends :0)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to join later when I get the photos from my Mum - we are still looking!
Ahh, lovely shots, happy 13th to your daughter.
ReplyDeleteThe shots say it all....blurry or not!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!!! The look on her face is priceless!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics...I know how fast you have to catch them sometimes!
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
Hello!
ReplyDeleteYou have to be fast! Wishing you a cozy, comfortable, take it easy kind of SUNDAY! :<)
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
Ah - the age of photo refusal. You did a great job capturing her as she is right now!
ReplyDeleterinda
these photos are very good and definitely capture the moment.
ReplyDeleteI quite like the blur, it gives movement to the photo! My little girl is only 4 months old, but every time she sees the camera she stops smiling because she's curious about what we're holding in front of her!
ReplyDeleteWonder what she wished for - hope she had a great day!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics Fi, cake looks fab too xx
ReplyDeleteI love the facial expression and hands in the second photo. I hope she (and you) enjoy this first year of being a teen :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great shots, blur doesn't matter too much when you're capturing the stuff of life, does it! Happy birthday to her! x
ReplyDeletemy teenage DD is a nightmare to get photos of yet happily takes hundreds of her own when she if with her friends! Well done on capturing these 2!
ReplyDeleteNow there is some serious wishing going on. Great photo! At 13 they are rarely still long enough for a perfectly focused shot.
ReplyDeleteBlurry pics are definitely better than no pics at all :) And they help to capture the personality of a busy child, too! Belated birthday greetings to her from the Melsh contingent xx
ReplyDeleteExcellent photos - they obviously capture her as she is at 13 xx Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteSuper photographs that speak volumes about being thirteen and how she will appreciate them when she is older. A true moment in time captured so beautifully by you.
ReplyDeleteHappy 13th to your DD and a blurred shot is better than no shot at all.
ReplyDeleteGoodness ... 13, wow, when did that happen.
ReplyDeleteWishing the birthday girl a very very happy birthday xx
That blurred shot is really neat! Belated Happy Birthday to her.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos - the look on her face in that second one is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI quite like both photos :) Happy Belated Birthday!
