What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #493

Two weeks in a row. What's going on here?!

My desk hasn't seen any action since Sunday, when I had a little photo shoot.  Removing the table cloth and trying to make the most of the natural light from the kitchen window. White on white is so difficult to capture.

I've got a new embossing folder that gives the card stock a very subtle texture and I've been using it on all my card mats. Gives the background a little lift.

Here's the card that I shared a close up of last week. Still can't capture that glitter!

Linking up with Julia and the Deskers this sunny morning. Back to the hospital with Mum this afternoon, after a bit of a cock up yesterday. Thank you to everyone who visited last week. I'll try to do better at returning them today.

  1. Beautiful cards. I am so tempted to get that set of snowflake dies ...after all I do live in an area that gets lots of snow so it would get lots of scrap page layout use! In your wreath card I do see some glitter.

  2. Hi Fiona, that card is lovely, and the embossing folder is fab. Gives a lovely texture, without dominating the card. I take it it's an SU? I agree that getting sparkle to show in photos is almost impossible. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #9 X

  3. Afternoon Fiona. It does indeed seem like a long while since we communicated by WOYWW - but it's good to see you today. I've been away with family, so absent for three weeks - but you seem to be well in the swing of Christmas. I love the white on white card - and yes, that embossing folder gives a lovely effect.
Hope all goes well with your mum.
    Take care. God bless.

  6. Beautiful cards, Fiona. That's a brilliant idea to subtle emboss the background, think I may have to steal that idea!
