Hello and welcome to our weekly hop around the desks of the crafting world.
Yesterday afternoon I decided to squeeze in another little project, with a zip, between prom dress sewing sessions.
This time I’m trying out end covers to see if I can get a better finish. I decided I didn’t like the red zip after all…..
…..and changed it (along with the lining fabric) to sunny yellow.
What’s happening in your work space this week?
I'm always impressed when people put zippers in things. It's something I never do :) Happy WOYWW hugs Nikki 2
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed too, I can barely sew a button (and that's not neatly either!) Love the sunny yellow fabric. Looking forward to lemon drizzle... lol!! See you Saturday. Helen 4
ReplyDeleteLooks like Helen is hinting at what kind of cake she wants for the crop on Saturday. I think the colors are really adorable, but being able to sew a straight line is something I can't seem to do. Adding a zipper would be a miracle! Glad it's you and not me! Happy last Wed before the crop from #9.
ReplyDeletelove the fabric please show us what it becomes in the end
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW thanks for sharing

I am not really a sewer...I happened to see how to put end bits on zips on a pin and went to look...it was quite easy to follow. here is the link...it made me want to give it a try! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=369541.0

Gorgeous fabric :). And I can't believe you took the zip out and re-did it - I'd be so thrilled to actually get a zip in there's no way it'd ever come out!

ReplyDeleteThank you again for doing some of the cakes for the Crop...it just makes life a little less frenetic for me on Friday when I'm doing the three things for lunch! Lisa Jane and another friend are also doing some, so we should have sufficient cakes to keep a crafty coven for the day!!!
