It’s the fifth week of the summer holidays and still not much crafting happening around here. I did find time yesterday to cut some shapes for a decorated chipboard swap I’m taking part in.
I did the actual embossing on a glass mat in the kitchen. I’ve had too many other mishaps in the past, when using the heat gun at my desk, warped cutting mats being the main casualties! I thought I had been so careful with the powder, but when I turned the hob light on, to cook the dinner, it revealed a very glittery worktop. Oops!
I’m off to Julia’s place to see what everyone else has been up to this week.
busy looking desk! I love my big shot and use it a lot. Can't wait to see you finished chipboard swap. Vickie
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks busy. I don't think many of us with little ones are getting much done over the holidays x x

Oohh so you've pimped your cooker have you lol.
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks good and creative
Your glittery kitchen comment made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteWhen I worked in school, I always used to have glitter everywhere - in underwear for example. The blooming stuff got in every nook and cranny...itchy :D xx
ReplyDeleteHaha! I've just seen Sandra's comment! Very quick
ReplyDeleteThe Earth will end - but there will still be glitter! Love those cats! Thanks for the peek (Sarah at 1)
ReplyDeleteLOL! The first time that I embossed at home, I thought that I was being so clever putting cardboard on the floor and embossing...so that I could just vacuume up the extra bits...when I was done, I had melted carpet underneath! Thanks for sharing your WOYWW! Good luck with the swap! -Amanda
ReplyDeleteThe sign of a true crafter - an embossed cooker :-) Hope it came off ok.
ReplyDeleteI have a collection of warped cutting mats too! though not managed to glitter my cooker yet - thank-you for the smile. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that with the craft mats and the glass mat sounds just the solution.
ReplyDeleteMay be you should go into kitchen design and stark a new crazy for blingy worktops.
Loving all the cats!
Happy Crafting!
